• Account information — email address and username when you sign up.
• User-generated content — specials, locations, guides, comments, and votes you submit.
• Location data — approximate location if you grant permission, used only to show nearby specials. We do not store precise location history.
• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and interactions (stored in server logs and analytics).

• To operate and personalise your experience (show nearby specials, display your profile).
• To attribute community contributions and calculate reputation points.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, account verification).
• To moderate content and prevent abuse.
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication provider. Data is stored on servers in the US.
• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery.
• Law enforcement — only when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Specials, locations, guides, and comments you submit are publicly visible. Your username is displayed with your contributions. You can request deletion of your content by contacting us. We reserve the right to retain content needed for moderation records.

We use browser local storage to save your theme preference, last known location, and cached specials for offline use. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account by contacting us at hello@joolep.com — we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

Joolep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
